DVD Cover Wall Art!
So, I’ve had these Star Wars pictures in every place I’ve lived for the past ten years or so and I always get comments and compliments on them. And you know what? The pictures were on the reverse of the chapter list cards in the first DVD release of the original trilogy. They looked so cool I just had to do something with them. Really all I did was slide them into 5×7 frames and presto! Instant art for any room.
I know that many people probably no longer have DVDs lying around the house. We’ve all moved on to Blu-ray, streaming, and 4K Ultra HD. But for those that do (like me), this is something you can do to put them to good use again before you try to sell them for $.50 a piece to a used bookstore/media outlet/what have you. The nice thing is, if you already have them in your place collecting dust, then you are really only paying for the frames. You can get 5×7 frames pretty cheap almost anywhere, but Amazon is probably your best bet. So, if you’re not concerned about the collectability of your old DVDs, then by all means, cut up those covers and put some art on your walls!
There are loads of DVDs that have cool covers or art sleeves inside the case. These are just a few more I found in my collection.
Well, there you have it. A simple, cheap, and effective way to add a bit of decoration to any room.
